You’re familiar with Celine totes, and the Triomphe motif certainly needs no introduction. Yet as the all-new Flat Shopper in Triomphe Canvas makes its debut for Celine spring-summer 2026, it feels different. Less like a rehash, it’s rather more like a quiet new revolution at the storied French fashion house.

Under the fresh direction of Michael Rider, the bag manages to pull off the ultimate fashion trick. It stays entirely familiar, yet is undeniably new. At first glance, it appears like a stiff tote. But look closer, and you’ll realise it’s expandable, with sides that fold out whenever you need more space.
Another striking feature lies in its malleability. The bag can be folded and carried like a relaxed clutch for an alternative way to wear it. The Flat Shopper comes in two sizes. The medium measures 33 cm wide and 28 cm high, while the large expands to 45.5 cm by 42 cm. That’s ample space for documents, a laptop, a slim journal and beauty essentials.
The Triomphe Canvas is coated, making it water- and scratch-resistant, while remaining remarkably light. On the runway, the carryall appeared across both menswear and womenswear, reinforcing its gender-neutral appeal. Colourways are aplenty, starting with classic brown canvas and natural calfskin combination, now renamed Miel.
Celine also introduces high-contrast Triomphe combinations like Yellow/Navy and Burgundy/Tan, pushing the bag into playful, graphic territory. Whether medium or large, each includes an inner zip compartment and adjustable hook closure. Priced at SGD2500 and SGD2850 respectively, the Flat Shopper is available at Celine, across both men’s and women’s universes.
