At Burberry’s spring-summer 2026 runway showcase in a custom-built tent in Perks Field, London, Daniel Lee reimagines the Burberry Check once again, this time in a perforated texture. It is the defining element on the all-new Tavistock crossbody bag.

More than just a pattern, this detail transforms the classic saddle bag into something that looks like a classic vintage. Another standout element is the oversized Equestrian Knight Design on the front flap. Burberry surrounds the stamp with braided trim and intricate whipstitching. Consequently, it feels less like rigid armour and more like a softened emblem that remains striking yet approachable.

Inside, three compartments underscore the Tavistock’s practical intent. In other words, functionality sits at its core. The British fashion house is clearly moving past the era of the micro-bag that held little more than AirPods. Instead, it enters an age where organisation becomes the ultimate flex. A zip closure keeps everything securely in place.

Meanwhile, the black Italian leather tells a story of contrasts. It feels buttery soft to the touch, yet carries a glossy sheen. High-shine but low-maintenance, the leather also promises to stand up to daily life. Alternatively, choose the suede version in Hazel Brown for a softer, velvety finish.

Burberry’s Tavistock is an excellent everyday bag for those who love retro vibes that wears comfortably over the shoulder. Retailing at SGD3790, it is now available in Singapore, with selected pieces open for online pre-order.
