At Celine, Michael Rider’s tenure as creative director continues to be defined by a thoughtful study of the house’s history. Seemingly effortlessly, he blends minimalist-chic codes with a dash of logo-mania desirability. Nowhere is this delicate fusion more apparent than in the all-new Small Triomphe Frame launched for spring-summer 2026.
The concept of a frame bag typically conjures images of vintage formality and rigid silhouettes. Rider’s soft interpretation modernises the heritage style for the Celine woman of today. It cleverly retains the elegant, squarish contour, but introduces a gentle slouch, creating a refined tension between structure and fluidity.
Crafted in both supple calfskin and Triomphe Canvas, the Small Triomphe Frame appeals to both minimalists and monogram lovers. Either way, it is elegant without being pretentious, chic without being fussy. The double C clasp also serves as a visual anchor, giving the bag an instantly recognisable status.
A light push reveals a full lambskin-lined interior. Ample space within its 12.5 cm square body holds beauty essentials, an SLG and other daily must-haves. There’s also an inner mirror for quick touch-ups, making it a charming accessory that transitions well from day to night. Wear it either over the shoulder or keep it short like a handheld purse.
In Singapore, the Soft Triomphe Frame launches on 19 November 2025. The Triomphe Canvas version retails at SGD5000, while the supple calfskin models go for SGD5500. With Michael Rider at the helm, Celine looks to continue building a future shaped by graceful, effortless modernity.
