The closing scene of The Darjeeling Limited stays etched in memory, especially for Louis Vuitton fans. Three brothers sprint after a departing train, carrying custom luggage depicting palm trees and wild animals. That whimsical pattern, created for Wes Anderson’s 2007 film, was designed by then-artistic director Marc Jacobs. Eventually, it found a permanent home in the Louis Vuitton archives.
Now, for the first time, that emblematic motif travels from screen to stores worldwide. The maison revives the original pattern across leather goods, ready-to-wear and hard-sided trunks. As a result, the playful, globetrotting artwork begins an exciting new chapter. In the Louis Vuitton x The Darjeeling Limited capsule, colourful wildlife and plants appear on shirts, outerwear and lightweight knits.

Meanwhile, other beloved leather goods receive a bold refresh with the same pattern. Think of it as a stylish, spirited alternative to the classic Monogram Canvas. Several key SLGs and bags come in naturally tanned calfskin with a sfumato patina finish. Over time, the material develops character on the Pocket Organizer (SGD1080), Nil GM (SGD6200) and Keepall 50 (SGD8250), complete with striking white initials.
Additionally, select accessories arrive in the Damier Ebene Heritage canvas, now detailed with extra wild animals and bold LV Initials. For example, the Dopp Kit Canvas (SGD1760), which doubles as a toiletry pouch and clutch. Icons like the Speedy 25 Bandoulière (SGD4700) and Christopher MM (SGD6600) also join the lineup.
For years, the original trunks remained in the archives. Now, the house celebrates its artistic legacy by reintroducing the motif in a modern way. Whether it’s a weekend bag ready to toss onto a moving train or a statement accessory for city life, the cinematic spirit of The Darjeeling Limited lives on at Louis Vuitton.
