For spring-summer 2026, Bottega Veneta gears up for a new wave of leather goods under Louise Trotter’s creative direction. At the centre is the Barbara Tote, a sleek new offering balancing structure with the Italian house’s signature relaxed suppleness. It feels deliberate, tactile and quietly assured.
With this new style, Trotter manages to elevate the utilitarian tote into a study of geometry and restraint. The integrated zip closure runs across two collapsing panels, cleverly adding security without disturbing the bag’s streamlined silhouette. It is a functional detail that serves the wearer, while never overpowering the design.
For purists, the Barbara Tote also offers a nostalgic nod to Bottega Veneta’s heritage. The medium size appears in the house’s iconic Intrecciato weave, a natural homecoming to its logo-less roots. Meanwhile, the large and maxi sizes also debut smooth Elite calf leather for a sleek, monolithic expression. New Brass Vibrato hardware discreet tubular anchors adds subtle polish without demanding attention.
Inside, the roomy tote reflects a thoughtful approach to modern needs. It feels organised rather than cavernous, offering a composed space for daily essentials. An internal zip pocket ensures practicality, while tactile leather delivers quiet pleasure with every reach. Finishing touches include a click-in system for a detachable pouch, like the Dustbag Organiser, as well as a leather-wrapped hand mirror.
In Singapore, the medium Barbara Tote (SGD8150), comes in Black, Butter Yellow, Deep Mahogony and Espresso. Large is offered in both Intrecciato (SGD10,790) and Elite calf (SGD10,450), whereas maxi comes in at SGD13,350. Whether carried by hand or draped over the shoulder, the Barbara Tote moves effortlessly with everyday life.
