For winter 2026, Celine’s Flair bag announces itself through a distinctive envelope flap and a reimagining of the Triomphe clasp. Bombé curve detailing runs along the strap and handles, though so subtly you’d have to run your thumb over it to notice. Reminiscent of a doctor’s bag except for the front flap, it feels structured but not stiff, geometric but not rigid.
The hardware, however, is where the new bag quietly distinguishes itself. Celine reworks its most recognisable emblem into a turn-lock format that opens with a satisfying twist. What’s more, another Triomphe sits on the body beneath. If you leave the flap open, both are visible at once, almost like an afterimage and its shadow.
The Flair comes in two proportions. The compact version measures 24 cm by 12 cm and allows hand, shoulder or crossbody carry. The next size up widens to 34 cm by 17 cm, perfect for days when you need room for more. You can either use it as an oversized clutch or leave the flap unbuckled for an effortlessly undone look. Both sizes share the same core DNA, with double zip closure, inner zip and flat pocket, as well as a removable strap.
The bag also arrives in three material options. The eye-catching shiny calfskin offers the widest colour range: Black, Chestnut, Purple and a bold Ultra Red. XL grained calfskin, in contrast, comes in just black and creamy white, its grainy texture hiding wear and softening the architectural edges. The third iteration pits camel brown suede against glossy black lambskin for genuine textural drama.
It didn’t take long for the Flair to move from the runway to real life. Celine global ambassador Suzy Bae recently lit up social media as she went about her day on the streets of Seoul with the Small Flair under her arm. Her understated style shone through as she paired it with a plain black tee and white denim. The bag launches in Singapore in the latter half of August, so stay tuned for details.
