Dior’s Médaillon Messenger is a novelty bag, soft-launching as part of its fall-winter 2026 men’s collection. At first glance, it reads as a traditional boxy messenger. Look closer, however, and something unexpected emerges. Instead of the usual embossing or print, the house’s signature Cannage motif is hand-embroidered using a technique called tweed mouliné.

The process twists a coloured thread with a white one to produce a rich mélangé yarn. At the centre of the front flap, the Dior logo sits inside an embroidered oval medallion. Raised just enough to feel tactile, it reads more like a crest than a label. The entire exterior is crafted from wool and cashmere, right down to the thick shoulder strap. Adjustable to several lengths, the strap lets you wear it over the shoulder or across the body.
Seventeen’s Mingyu, a Dior ambassador, recently stepped out at the airport carrying the grey knit Médaillon Messenger bag. The K-pop star paired it with a blue Dior knit sweater, black cargo shorts and lace-up boots. It was an easy, off-duty airport look, but the bag did the heavy lifting. It added a touch of polish to an otherwise casual outfit.
The bag is available in two sizes. The medium, as spotted on Mingyu, retails at SGD6400, while the large comes in at SGD7000. Besides grey, the new knitted iteration will also arrive in a warm golden yellow and a deep violet. Both offer a more playful alternative to the black-and-brown palette that most menswear bags default to.
With its artisanal tweed mouliné finish and unexpected colourways, the Médaillon Messenger bag stands out in Dior’s men’s lineup. Few bags in the category combine this level of craft with this much personality. It is definitely one to watch as the season unfolds.
