This September, one of Singapore’s most storied cultural landmarks trades its usual exhibits for something far more precise. Audemars Piguet brings its Perspectives on Time exhibition to The Gallery Theatre at the National Museum of Singapore. The four-day showcase offers a rare chance to view pieces from the brand’s own collection, many for the first time.

Admission is free, and the exhibition welcomes seasoned collectors and complete newcomers alike, with no horology expertise required. Rather than one sprawling gallery, it unfolds across four distinct spaces, each built around a different obsession of the house. Firstly, the journey opens with Looking Back and Beyond, which traces how the brand started in Le Brassus in 1875.

Next, Guided by the Cosmos turns its gaze skyward. A live demonstration brings one of the brand’s most complex calendar mechanisms to life. Then The Beauty Within peels back the dial to spotlight openworking, a technique that reveals a watch’s internal architecture. Vintage pieces sit alongside Audemars Piguet’s latest creations here, making Perspectives on Time as much about evolution as heritage.

Lastly, Giving Time a Voice, closes with something rarely experienced outside a manufacture: sound as craftsmanship. Another live demonstration lets visitors hear one of watchmaking’s most demanding complications up close. Each session runs just 30 minutes with limited capacity, so visitors should reserve a spot ahead of time. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows.

Through Perspectives on Time, Audemars Piguet brings gears, springs and over 150 years of Swiss obsession with time beyond the boutique. Held in the National Museum of Singapore at 93 Stamford Road, this free exhibition makes haute horlogerie approachable for all. It is a rare invitation, and one that only runs from 10 to 13 September 2026.
