Each bag is crafted in Cartier’s Florence workshops from fine-grained leather chosen for its natural texture and soft hand-feel. Over time, the surface develops a rich patina that deepens in colour with wear, making every piece uniquely personal. The silhouette itself stays deliberately pared back and unfussy. Meanwhile, the twin handles transition easily from hand to arm to shoulder, maintaining the bag’s structured poise in every position.

Marlin Yuson, creative director of accessories and leather goods, describes the Clash de Cartier bag’s starting point as an envelope. Folded at the corners and secured by the twist-lock, the design can shift between two distinct moods. Either leave the stud undone for a loose, relaxed effect, or close it to sharpen the shape into something more tailored and architectural. In essence, it’s one bag that offers two looks without changing a single component.
The colour palette stays rooted in Cartier’s heritage: black and burgundy, joined by a neutral caramel. Three sizes are available, starting with the small (SGD5350) that measures 29 cm by 20 cm. The medium (SGD5750) then steps up to 35 cm by 26 cm. Lastly, the large (SGD6150) rounds out the range at 39 cm by 30 cm, with ample room for laptop and documents, even doubling as a chic carry-on for travel.
With the Clash de Cartier bag, Cartier makes a convincing case that its leather-goods ambitions rest firmly within its jeweller’s DNA. The stud may be small, but the statement it carries is anything but.
