A century after the waterproof Oyster case changed watchmaking forever, Rolex marks the milestone with gold accents and a dial that knows exactly what it celebrates. At Watches & Wonders Geneva 2026, the brand unveiled the all-new Oyster Perpetual 41 with characteristically restrained updates.

No diamonds. No skeleton dial. Nor an elaborate exhibition caseback revealing a complication nobody asked for. Instead, Rolex takes a far more considered route, introducing a new coloured dial and the words ‘100 Years’ sitting at six o’clock, precisely where ‘Swiss Made’ usually appears. Understated, certainly. Forgettable, absolutely not.

For modern collectors, this marks the first time Rolex is offering a contemporary Oyster Perpetual in Rolesor since two-tone references quietly disappeared in the early 2000s. Still, the brand avoids the traditional two-tone treatment. Instead, the bracelet remains entirely in Oystersteel, while yellow gold appears exclusively on the domed bezel and winding crown.

Meanwhile, the case itself adopts the updated 41 MM Oyster architecture introduced in 2025. Measuring 41 MM wide and 11.6 MM thick, the watch features a monobloc middle case in 904L Oystersteel, polished flanks and lugs, alongside a brushed top surface. For this edition, the yellow gold winding crown also features ‘100’ engraved in relief beneath the unmistakable Rolex coronet.

Also new to the Oyster Perpetual range, the slate dial makes the perfect backdrop for three layers of meaning embedded through the design. Firstly, the logo at 12 o’clock is pad-printed in Rolex green rather than the usual white or gold. Then small green squares mark five-minute intervals along the minute track, subtle enough to miss yet deeply satisfying once noticed. Finally, the ‘100 Years’ inscription anchors the dial at 6 o’clock.

All indices and hands are applied in yellow gold with long-lasting blue Chromalight luminescence. Inside beats the Calibre 3230 with a 70-hour power reserve. For 2026, Rolex also strengthens its Superlative Chronometer standard, adding new criteria for anti-magnetism, reliability and sustainability.

Retailing at SGD13,600, the new Oyster Perpetual 41 celebrates a century of Rolex’s beloved collection with details fervent OP collectors will not want to miss.
