Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage has long mastered the elusive balance between form and function. Now, the maison refreshes its signature silhouette through two sleek monochrome lines, Le Pliage One and Le Pliage Xtra. Together, both collections reinterpret familiar codes with a cleaner, more modern attitude.
Starting with Le Pliage One, the instantly recognisable carryall strips everything back to its essence through a simple equation: “one icon, one concept, one colour”. Lightweight and pared back, the updated design introduces subtle yet thoughtful refinements, including a slightly extended format and longer handles. Consequently, the bag sits closer to the body while carrying far more effortlessly.
More importantly, the monochrome treatment proves anything but monotonous. From the 70 percent recycled nylon canvas to the cowhide leather flap and even the hardware, every detail arrives drenched in one saturated shade. Whether in charcoal grey, beige, deep burgundy, classic black or lemon yellow, it reimagines the maison’s classic codes with striking colour-block simplicity.
Available in sizes S, M and L, the Le Pliage One bags retail at SGD220, SGD235 and SGD255 respectively. In case you’re wondering, they measure 23 cm by 22 cm, 28 cm by 26.5 cm and 31 cm by 30 cm. Ultimately, the new range remains everything devotees already love about Le Pliage, now sharpened into a sleek monochrome manifesto.

Then comes the Le Pliage Xtra collection, which feels playful, understated and endlessly versatile all at once. One standout is the new M Shoulder Bag, retailing at SGD600. Reimagined in an elongated east-west silhouette, the sleek design measures 26 cm by 11 cm by 8.5 cm, making it compact yet surprisingly practical for daily use.
Crafted from supple cowhide leather, the bag arrives in eight monochrome finishes spanning both bold and understated tones. Shades like Lime, Tundra and Wave inject vibrant colour, while Black, Paper and Turtledove keep things effortlessly chic. Once again, Longchamp proves minimalism rarely needs to feel boring.
