At Bottega Veneta, the names of bags lean towards a quieter, more grounded and unmistakably local approach. The Andiamo is simply Italian for “let’s go”, while the Cabat translates to “basket”. The Knot is, quite literally, named for its defining feature. Now, there is the Vaporetto, named after Venice’s unassuming yet iconic water bus.
It’s a fitting tribute. After all, Bottega Veneta means “Venetian workshop”, and the vaporetto, amongst all vessels, is most quintessentially Venetian. Louise Trotter’s tenure as the brand’s first female creative director began with a confident spring-summer 2026 debut. The Vaporetto further shapes her design philosophy at the Italian fashion house.
Understated and purposeful, it comes in practical shades like Black and Espresso. These colours anchor the style within the modern man’s wardrobe. Available in two sizes, the Medium Vaporetto (SGD10,020) is a weekender style that measures 51 cm by 33 cm. Meanwhile, the Large Vaporetto (SGD13,330) comes in at 59 cm by 37 cm.
Both sizes feature elongated shoulder straps that slide easily over the shoulder. No matter your choice, they are designed for ease and movement. The top-zip closure adds a welcome layer of security. Inside, there is a zip pocket, as well as three slip pockets for organisation. This ensures your essentials don’t go missing within the spacious main compartment.
The Vaporetto doesn’t demand attention, but remains steadfast in its purpose as a zipped carryall for daily adventures. A new essential for men, the bag is set to launch very soon at Bottega Veneta boutiques worldwide.
