Burberry has a new contender for signature-bag status, and it arrives steeped in heritage with a modern edge. Meet the Rider that debuted on the British house’s spring-summer 2026 runway. Inspired by music, movement and British creativity, the bag strikes a balance between timeless design and a touch of festival-ready flair.
Its name draws from Burberry’s iconic Knight emblem, reimagined here as a polished metal plaque. Sitting at the centre of the bag, its finely engraved lettering is an elegant nod to the house’s storied past. Designed for life on the move, the bag is as practical as it is polished. A top handle offers a refined carry, while a detachable strap allows shoulder or crossbody wear.
Crafted in Italy from supple leather, the Rider features a structured silhouette softened by an oiled and waxed finish. This gives it a rich sheen and a tactile, lived-in feel. Equestrian references, long synonymous with Burberry, appear throughout the design. From the buckled strap to polished oval eyelets, each detail echoes traditional saddle hardware.

There are also two sizes to consider, depending on your needs. The small measures 26 cm by 21 cm, while the medium comes in at 35.5 cm by 26 cm. Both feature a front slip pocket and a back press-stud pocket. Meanwhile, the medium adds an interior slip pocket for extra functionality.
A considered range of colourways completes the offering. The small (SGD3990) arrives in signature shades of Black, Peat Brown and Soap Beige. It is also available in the season’s python-effect leather (SGD4190) for added impact. Meanwhile, the medium (SGD4590) is currently offered in a single classic black shade.
For those drawn to statement detail, another small version introduces exaggerated fringing and whipstitched trims. This variation leans into the artisanal detailing of Burberry’s summer 2026 runway. Priced at SGD5500, the eye-catching style comes in black or python-effect leather. As a result, it brings a bold, expressive finish to the Rider’s otherwise classic design.
