A new bag enters Gucci’s spring-summer 2026 conversation with quiet confidence. Although Demna has yet to stage an official runway debut, the Italian house continues to release new ready-to-wear and bags, even while last year’s La Famiglia campaign still lingers. Between Jackie reissues and the Lunetta, the all-new Gucci Borsetto stands out as a subtle nod to heritage.
The classic Boston silhouette is reimagined with elongated handles and a semi-structured body. Inside, a surprisingly spacious interior adds everyday practicality. For monogram loyalists, the sand and dark brown GG canvas version is a masterclass in nostalgia. Signature green-and-red Web stripes and dark brown leather trim further enhance its vintage charm.
Meanwhile, the black leather Gucci Borsetto offers a quieter, more streamlined statement. Here, the silhouette takes focus, uninterrupted by canvas. The gold-tone Horsebit hardware pops against buttery black leather for crisp contrast. Then there is the dark brown suede version, perhaps the most tactile of the trio. It leans into warmth with a light-absorbing finish that makes the hardware glow.
Across all variations, Gucci lines each bag with a refreshed Diamante motif drawn from the archives. This detail ties past and present together with subtle intent. Whether bold in canvas or understated in leather, each version carries a distinct mood. Function meets familiarity, yet the proportions feel current.
Prices range from SGD3850 for the medium Gucci Borsetto in canvas to SGD5100 for the large leather and suede versions. Each option balances nostalgia with modern polish, proving that Gucci can look forward without letting go of its past.
