Since its inception in 2009, Guerlain’s Rouge G lipstick has been an object of desire. The one-of-a-kind accessory first came with a weighted chrome-plated metal case featuring a mirror. Then in a genius redesign of its jewel cases, it became the first endlessly customisable lipstick in 2018. Now, the French beauty brand enhances the iconic Rouge G formula further.
This new-generation skincare-based formula packs lip-caring ingredients, including lily flower and sweet almond oil. It not only smooths, hydrates and plumps the pout, but also boasts an ultra-light finish for a bare lips sensation. Of course, the reformulated lipstick still features the high colour intensity wearers know and love.
Powered by the colour-enhancing power of Abyssinian oil, the Rouge G lipstick now comes in a range of 40 shades. Red, orange, plum, pink and nude tones come in two long-lasting finishes. While 24 Satin shades impart a silky, glossy shine, 16 shades in Velvet Matte offer a velvety, luminous finish.
The iconic cases also receive a transformation. Swapping silver-tone metal for a luxe golden version, the double-mirror case now features cleaner lines. In line with Guerlain’s commitment to sustainability, they are eco-designed to be lighter than ever while optimised manufacturing processes reduce CO2 emissions.
Besides being refillable and customisable, the Rouge G case now comes in nine designs to match your mood and #OOTD. Options include timeless grained textures, ornamental marble and rhinestone styles, patterned studs and even a soft-textured leopard print.
To complement Rouge G’s reinvention, Guerlain also introduces the Couture G (SGD44) lip pencil to the collection. It pairs a highly pigmented long-wearing formula with a featherlight texture. This comes in six shades to accentuate all lip tones and extend the wear of the already long-lasting lipsticks.
Ready to pucker up? Priced at SGD60 for a lipstick and SGD56 for a case, the new Rouge G is available at Guerlain boutiques and counters islandwide from 15 July.
