After the star-studded #Trinity100Celebration last week, which saw Blackpink’s Jisoo and Jackson Wang in Singapore, Cartier’s Trinity pop-up opens its doors to the public today. If you’ve been wanting to check out the immersive odyssey that celebrates the centenary of the maison’s iconic creation, here’s what you can expect.

Happening at The Arts House, the travelling pop-up spans seven interconnecting rooms and over 674 square metres. The journey begins in the ‘Three is a Magic Number’ room. Anchoring it, elongated, curved screens evoke the bands of the iconic ring. Discover the symbolism of the number three, from the Trinity’s interconnected bands to the Cartier brothers.

Next, stop by the interesting ‘The Creative Evolution’ room. This traces the innovative journey of the icon with a nostalgic look back at its history and codes. There’s also a special focus on the poet and artist Jean Cocteau, whose signature style in the 1930s included stacking two Trinity rings on his left pinky.

Then traverse on to the ‘The Icon of Icons’ room. Here, interactive panels showcase how the Trinity has captivated the elite circles of fashion. These range from Hollywood stars to café society elites, ever since its inception in 1924.

This leads to ‘The Trinity Centenary Collection’, a chance to get up close with storied pieces. Look out for the Trinity of Chitose Abe of Sacai capsule, rare reissues such as the XL Trinity bracelet, as well as a new ring in the same bold, maximal scale.

End your journey with a collaborative project ‘Imagine Infinite Circles’ curated by French artistic director Jérôme Sans. The space spotlights works by creatives from all over the world. 30 pieces weave a circular story that represents Trinity and its codes of love, diversity of bonds and unity.

Be sure to check out a music and light installation by Jackson Wang, as well as works by Singaporean artists. There’s a short film by director He Shuming, sound experience by pianist Churen Li and interactive structure by industrial designer Olivia Lee.

The #Trinity100Celebration pop-up runs till 23 July 2024 at The Arts House at 1 Old Parliament Lane. Admission is free but do register for your slot here before heading down.
