Every great bag story has to start somewhere. For Fauré Le Page, that somewhere is a soft, slouchy hobo called First Page. Closing out the brand’s spring-summer 2026 collection, the zipped silhouette positions itself as a starter point rather than statement piece. The name says it all, a marker of the place where a new customer’s relationship with the house begins.
The body is crafted from Scale Canvas, a motif that has become the brand’s calling card. Each canvas is screen-printed using a technique borrowed from silk printing, then waxed to bring out a subtle sheen and surprising durability. Rather than holding a rigid structure, the bag softens as it wears in, leaning into the relaxed ease of a classic hobo shape.
What sets the First Page apart, however, is the detailing. Piping traces the edges of the bag, an element drawn from military uniform tailoring. Meanwhile, the wide, extendable shoulder strap takes its cue from rifle-case straps. These slightly subversive references have defined the house since it began outfitting French army officers with leather goods several centuries ago.
Beneath the design details, the bag functions as a genuine daily carryall. A zip closure keeps essentials secure, while an interior D-ring offers a spot to clip keys or a pouch. The adjustable strap also converts the shoulder carry to a full crossbody in seconds. At 23 cm wide and 20 cm tall, it holds a phone, small wallet, sunglasses and a slim notebook comfortably.
Retailing at SGD1790, the First Page comes in three colourways: Empire Green, Paris Blue and Powder Black with tone-on-tone leather elements. You can also personalise each bag with Fauré Le Page medallions. It’s a fittingly poetic way to invite a new generation into the house, not with a grand gesture, but with their very own First Page.
