Beyond The Vines is betting that the next must-have bag shape is not about volume. In fact, the homegrown label’s latest design, the Envelope Bag, is the flattest silhouette it has ever produced. Slim, structured and made from smooth nylon, it sets out to prove that going flat need not mean going without.
Despite its minimal profile, the bag holds an iPad, an umbrella and the usual daily essentials without added bulk. The BTV team also tested it with a 13-inch MacBook. The good news is it fits, albeit with some careful manoeuvring. A zipped pocket on the front flap offers quick access, while an in-seam pocket at the back offers extra storage. Inside, a lined pocket keeps smaller items organised, and a double magnetic closure holds everything in place.
The Envelope Bag comes in four colourways: Black, Butter Yellow, Indigo and Maroon, spanning quiet neutrals to playful brights. Priced at SGD69, it sits squarely as an everyday piece. That accessibility tracks with Beyond The Vines’ broader ethos of design that does not require a splurge to own.
Launching alongside the bag is the Geometric Pouch Set, conceived as a companion rather than a standalone accessory. Three flat pouches, each in a different shape, connect via a detachable round carabiner and wrist strap. Each pouch closes with a snap-fastened flap, then the whole set clips onto the Envelope Bag. Choose between Maroon Multi and Olive Multi, each retailing at SGD39.
