Jonathan Anderson’s Dior Book Cover collection continues to grow, and its latest chapter might be the most charming yet. Following debut titles like Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Ulysses by James Joyce, the series now welcomes Eric Carle’s beloved The Very Hungry Caterpillar in a whimsical new capsule. Spanning ready-to-wear, accessories and Dior Maison pieces, it transforms the children’s classic into wearable art.

First unveiled as part of the spring 2026 collection for Dior Men, the concept turns classic book jackets into embroidered fashion statements. The original lineup also featured In Cold Blood by Truman Capote and Charles Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du Mal. This season, the library expands with Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, Anthony Burgess’ A Clockwork Orange and Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days, alongside the Carle collaboration.

First published in 1969, Carle’s iconic tale follows a caterpillar’s journey from insatiable appetite to colourful butterfly. That playful spirit infuses The Very Hungry Caterpillar capsule from top to bottom. Short- and long-sleeved knitwear and T-shirts feature cover art from the book, with matching styles for children. A series of bag charms, meanwhile, reinterprets the story’s signature motifs. Think apples and pears adorned with miniature caterpillars.

Small leather goods carry the theme further. Highlights include a vibrant apple-shaped pouch complete with caterpillar detail. There’s also a passport cover lined in green calfskin, its exterior finished with the book’s artwork. On the Dior Maison side, a notebook and porcelain trinket tray both showcase the story’s iconic illustrations, making thoughtful collectibles for fans of all ages. But naturally, the Dior Book Cover collection centres on the Dior Book Tote.

Now in multicoloured embroidery inspired by the original cover of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the Mini Dior Book Tote (SGD3900) measures 21 cm by 16 cm and comes with a removable strap for hand, shoulder or crossbody carry. If you need more room, the Medium Dior Book Tote (SGD5000) offers the same literary charm at 36 cm by 27.4 cm, complete with multiple interior pockets. This latest Dior Book Cover chapter proves that some stories are simply worth carrying wherever you go.
