This year, Loewe reaches a milestone few fashion houses can claim. Founded in 1846 as a leather atelier in Madrid, the house has become one of luxury’s most influential names. Even at its most experimental, Loewe has never strayed far from the craft that built it. To mark 180 years of craft, the brand is now staging a magazine takeover right here in Singapore.

For roughly one month, the house is taking over two distinctive venues: Basheer Graphic Books and the Listening Room at Appetite. Both spaces have transformed their shelves into temporary showcases, blending Loewe’s visual world with each location’s own character. It is an unexpected pairing, but one that speaks to the brand’s longstanding affinity for art, design and print culture.

Visitors can claim a complimentary copy of the Loewe 180 Years of Craft magazine by scanning a QR code at either location. The publication pulls from the house archive and features photographs from within the Madrid atelier. The paper-and-ink storytelling certainly is a fitting way to mark the anniversary.
Beyond the magazine, Loewe also released an anniversary capsule that mixes reverence with mischief. The defining motif is the lion, a nod to the brand’s name since Loewe derives from the German word for the animal. Artisans worked it into delicate bead embroidery, inlaid it into leather through intarsia, and cast it as small charms. Even the Amazona 180 special edition gets the treatment, with a lion emblem tucked into its lining.
Few brands manage to make 180 years of craft feel current rather than nostalgic. Loewe does exactly that, honouring its roots while keeping its gaze firmly ahead. The takeover runs till 14 July 2026 at Basheer Graphic Books, while the Listening Room at Appetite keeps its showcase open till 18 July 2026.
