Jonathan Anderson casts a fresh light on Dior’s most storied codes in its spring-summer 2026 collection. Amidst pieces that offer a compelling blend of wit, artistry and charm, the Dior Crunchy Bag stands out. Delightfully named, it reimagines the iconic Cannage motif with pillowy, sculptural volume, proving that puffy can feel elegant and considered.

Since taking the helm, Anderson consistently draws from the maison’s rich history, filtering it through a contemporary lens. The new bag reflects this approach clearly, placing one of Dior’s most recognisable signatures at its core. The Cannage traces back to the Napoleon III-style rattan chairs that lined the Avenue Montaigne salon during the 1947 New Look show.
Over time, it’s travelled across categories, most famously appearing on the Lady Dior in 1994. But rather than treating it as just a graphic, Anderson approaches it with sculptural intent. He introduces it in a modern material expression, the puffy Macrocannage. On the Dior Crunchy Bag, this cloud-like, 3D finish takes on soft, buttery calfskin. This lends the bag a sense of lightness and ease that reads effortless polish.
The rectangular silhouette features a two-way zip closure along the top, alongside gold-finish metal eyelets bearing the Dior signature. A matching metal double chain allows for either hand or shoulder carry. Arriving in two sizes, the small (SGD5800) measures 33 cm by 24 cm. Meanwhile, the medium (SGD6400), at 39 cm by 31 cm, even holds a 15-inch laptop comfortably.
Notably, the small version of the Dior Crunchy Bag also comes with an adjustable and removable leather shoulder strap. This opens up styling options, including crossbody wear, alongside the double chain. For now, both sizes arrive in classic Black and Sand hues, with the medium also available in Maroon.
