Ever wonder how the Dior Bobby got its name? If not, here’s a fun bit of Dior trivia. For fall-winter 2020, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri created the hobo flap bag, then named it after Monsieur Christian Dior’s beloved dog. Its casual good looks and easy-to-wear appeal quickly solidified its status as a coveted icon.
Four years later, Dior introduces a refreshing new update to the Dior Bobby. For cruise 2025, pin buckles replace the ring loops on both sides of the the east-west and mini formats. This makes sliding in the accompanying leather strap much easier, thus converting the Dior Bobby into a streamlined crossbody or shoulder bag.
As for dimensions, those remain the same for the mini size, which measures 17.5 cm by 11 cm. The east-west format also stands firm at 21 cm by 12 cm. Apart from box calfskin and #DiorOblique jacquard canvas options, there’s also an all-new grained leather style to covet.
Part of the cruise 2025 collection, the new Dior Bobby retails from SGD3800. Check this puppy out now at Dior boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
