Celine’s new Soft Triomphe Wedge joins a growing line of bags that blends elegance with everyday ease. Its distinctly flat base keeps the bag stable and upright on a café table or desk without toppling. That design win also gives it more shape than its Half Moon and Besace siblings. For anyone who prefers a little extra structure in a daily bag, this is surely the one.

Crafted from supple, shiny lambskin, the latest style in the Triomphe family feels fluid and almost weightless. At the same time, it still retains the polish of Celine’s structured classics. The front flap closes with the Triomphe magnetic clasp, the emblem that’s central to the maison’s leather goods. Knotted leather ties on the sides, meanwhile, break up the clean lines and impart a hand-tied, slightly undone feel.
The Soft Triomphe Wedge comes in two sizes. The small measures 25 cm wide and 17 cm high, suited for day-to-night carry. Remove the leather strap and it also doubles as a clutch. The medium steps up to 33 cm by 28 cm, roomy enough for a laptop and other daily essentials.
No matter your choice, both sizes come with a main zipped compartment and a flat pocket for smaller items. A zip pocket on the back holds quick-access essentials like a phone or cards. The straps are adjustable, too, so you can either sling it crossbody or hang it from the shoulder. Alternatively, shorten the strap for a more compact carry to suit your outfit and mood.
A selection of colourways awaits: Black, Light Cuir, Red Velvet and Syrah. All come in lambskin that catches the light, so it appears glossy without being flashy. Every colour pairs gold-tone hardware with a full suede calfskin lining. In Singapore, Celine’s Soft Triomphe Wedge retails at SGD4050 for the small, while the medium goes for SGD5350.
