Louis Vuitton is turning the page at its Bangkok destination. Since February 2024, LV The Place Bangkok has brought exhibition, dining and shopping together under one roof. Besides an upgraded café and a refreshed boutique, the space now reopens with a larger Visionary Journeys exhibition. Shohei Shigematsu, a partner at architecture firm OMA, redesigns its scenography.

Visitors still begin at the Trunkscape, a towering structure of 96 monogram trunks. For the first time, the maison will stage seasonal artistic interventions here. The programme is a collaboration with the Bangkok Art Biennale and curators Pirawuth Poshyananda and Adulaya Hoontrakul. Nakrob Moonmanas opens the series from October 2026 through February 2027. His layered collages blend Western art and Thai visual culture. Fellow Thai artists, Nitcha Tothong and Taiki Sakpisit, follow.

LV The Place Bangkok then leads visitors through rooms charting Louis Vuitton’s evolution. Origins displays archival documents and artefacts, including an 1895 copper cutlery trunk, a 1909 picnic trunk and a 1932 library trunk. Asnières, new to the Bangkok exhibition, recreates the family home and workshop established outside Paris in 1859. The room features a Janin stained-glass window that inspired the Maison de Famille bag in spring-summer 2023. A Workshop room also showcases live artisan demonstrations.

The Collaborations room spotlights artists who have reworked the iconic monogram. Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama and the Virgil Abloh and NIGO® pairing all feature. The Fashion room follows with pieces by Marc Jacobs, Nicolas Ghesquière and Pharrell Williams. Ghesquière’s 10th-anniversary trunk dress and Pharrell’s Damoflage look are amongst the highlights. The visit ends in the bright, interactive Souvenirs space.

Le Café Louis Vuitton has also expanded from its ground-floor space to a second-floor dining room serving lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Chef Christophe Grilo still leads the kitchen, developing the menu alongside local chefs from the Louis Vuitton Culinary Community. The lineup blends house classics, dishes from other Louis Vuitton destinations and Thai-rooted ideas.

Meanwhile, the Louis Vuitton boutique reopens with a design mixing refinement and bright accents. It is the only place in Southeast Asia to carry the Neverfull BB LV&I. Offered in Monogram, Monogram Dune and Monogram Eclipse, the bag can be personalised with straps, inner pouches and keybells.

LV The Place Bangkok opens daily from 10 AM. Closing hours vary by space: 8 PM for the Visionary Journeys exhibition, 9 PM for the store and 10 PM for Le Café. With its expanded exhibition, broader menu and boutique exclusives, this Louis Vuitton destination certainly gives visitors plenty of reasons to return.
