Welcome to #BEBEinsider, a series where friends share what beauty products they’re really loving. For September’s instalment, Dr. Rachel Ho shares the five products she loves. An aesthetic doctor and strategy consultant for beauty companies, she also blogs about skincare reviews, cosmetic trends and beauty industry news.

01 - CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, SGD44.90 for 454 g
“I first heard about this product before it launched in Singapore through overseas dermatologists who raved about it. I bought this when I was in Europe years ago and found it to be functional and cost-effective.

This cream is a salve for dry skin without feeling too thick or greasy. A little goes a long way and it absorbs quickly. It contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid which moisturise and soften skin, while protecting the skin barrier. I use this nightly for my hands and legs and as a go-to whenever I’m overseas and my skin feels dry.” CERAVE

02 - Chanel Comète Les Exclusifs De Chanel Eau De Parfum, SGD375 for 75 ML
“Spritzing on a fragrance completes my every day look and choosing my perfume is part of my self-care routine. I really like the cherry blossom notes of the Chanel Comète fragrance.

I just wear a single spritz on a pulse point and let the floral and sweet blend fade to a clean, powdery afternote that lasts for hours.” CHANEL

03 - K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask, SGD55 for 50 ML
“A good friend gifted this to me when she noticed my hair was dry and brittle after chemical hair treatments. This hair mask does more than just condition. It features ingredients that rebuild bonds in hair that has been damaged by chemicals, resulting in smoother and stronger strands.

I used it every day for a week when I first got it and saw significant improvement in the texture of my hair afterwards. Now, it’s a must-have after every chemical treatment.” K18

04 - Suqqu Protecting Day Cream SPF50+/PA++++, SGD80 for 30 g
“Sunscreen is a must in my daily skincare routine as UV damage from the sun is one of the causes of dark spots, fine wrinkles and other signs of ageing. Singapore’s year-round high UV index makes it impossible to escape UV rays, so a sunscreen that offers high protection and broad-spectrum protection is a must for me.

I’ve tried countless sunscreens in the last 10 years, and this is my absolute favourite. This sunscreen is very lightweight and imparts a radiant and luminous finish. I use at least two finger lengths of product for my face, and another two finger lengths of product for my neck.” SUQQU

05THREE Lip Conscious Protector, SGD40
“I first discovered this in Tokyo a few years ago when I was looking for SPF lip balms from Japanese brands to review for my blog. While other lip balms that contain SPF and PA benefits tend to feel creamy and transfer easily, this is particularly lightweight and moisturising. It’s a product that I always return to purchase.

Just like the rest of the skin, the lips are vulnerable to UV damage from the sun and require UV protection too. My lips get dry easily and this multitasking product simplifies my daily routine. It is great as a standalone product and layers well on top of lip tints and lipsticks.” THREE
