The last time Audemars Piguet had a mini watch was in 1976. That was when the luxury watchmaker tasked Jacqueline Dimier to create a Royal Oak just for the ladies. Powered by the small self-winding Calibre 2062, it was at 29MM the smallest self-winding Royal Oak in this family of renowned timepieces first designed by Gérald Genta.
Then in 1997, there was a 20MM Royal Oak that was created to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary. That piece is still the smallest to date. But today, Audemars Piguet unveils another mini that comes in at a rather modest 23MM.

What it lacks in size (it is not the smallest, after all), it makes up abundantly in other areas. Most of all, shimmering frosted goodness in a trio of 18K yellow, white and pink frosted gold. Perfect for those with slender wrists, the hand-hammered gold gives rise to a frosted effect that’s brilliant from every angle.
An ode to Audemars Piguet’s long tradition of watches-as-jewellery for women, this is truly a fitting comeback for the mini Royal Oak.
