Welcome to #BEBEinsider, a series where friends share what beauty products they’re really loving. For April’s instalment, Priscelia Wong reveals the five beauty products she swears by. Priscelia is a hair and makeup artist with over a decade of experience and the founder of Aastral Beauty, where she co-creates beauty with the individual and showcases her extensive collection of works.

01Est.Lab Lumiglow Smartskin Buddy, SGD298
“I like to use the Cryo Compress mode on this all-in-one skincare device. It goes down to 12 degrees which is great for soothing and calming my skin, especially when I feel angry pimples coming up. There’s also a Thermal Compress mode that warms up to 45 degrees. I use this mode with my skincare to help nutrients penetrate deeper into my skin.

Aside from the seven technology modes and five functions this device comes with, it also offers four pre-set functions to cleanse, firm, soothe and glow, making it super beginner-friendly. It also helps that it’s got a friendlier price point compared to other similar devices on the market.” EST.LAB

02Heroine Make Long Stay Sharp Gel Liner (02 Dark Brown), SGD17.50
“I’ve been working in the beauty industry for 11 years and this eyeliner has been in my kit since day one. It’s just that good. I have oily eyelids, which are the best to test for smudging. I’ve put this through the wringer by skipping eye primer and this is one of the longest lasting gel liner products I have ever used.

And because it’s eye safe, I use this brown eyeliner everywhere. I sometimes use it as a lip liner and nose or cheek contour. It also doubles up as an eyebrow pencil, but just be sure to use a light hand.” HEROINE MAKE

03Make Up For Ever HD Skin All-In-One Face Palette, SGD137
“This palette wasn’t kidding when it said all-in-one. Each palette comes with 12 complementary shades that can correct, conceal, colour, contour and illuminate. It’s the best for travel. I literally just bring this palette, an eyeliner and a lipstick.

Each square in the palette may look small, but a little goes a long way. It’s been like a bottomless pit in my makeup kit so far. The formulas are cream so the warmth from your fingers work best. That said, it’s a very versatile product so it will still offer a smooth application no matter which tool you choose. And of course, always set with some powder.” MAKE UP FOR EVER

04Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Florale Multi-Purpose Dry Oil, from SGD38.25 for 50 ML
“I first discovered this when I was travelling in Italy. It’s a convenient all-in-one that you can use on your face, body and hair. The rose-scented one is my favourite. Plus, it has a spray nozzle for fuss-free, easy application. I simply spray it on and go in with my hands.

I like to use face oils as the last step of my skincare routine to seal all the good stuff in. It’s also great for keeping skin from drying out if you sleep in air-conditioning or when travelling to cold countries.” NUXE

05Shu Uemura Unlimited Mattifying Poreless Primer SPF25/PA+++, SD82 for 30 ML
“This primer launched not too long ago, and it is already a must-have in my kit! I’m always sceptical about products with oil or shine-reducing claims as most of them that boast great results usually compromise skin afterwards. But this doesn’t. It gradually cuts away any excess shine from the face but doesn’t dry skin out or cause the skin to produce even more oil afterwards.

It’s great especially for long shoot days when I need foundation to last long on my clients and can’t have them looking shiny on screen. To apply, I slowly rub some product on the areas I need and watch skin instantly mattify. It’s a very underrated product, for sure.” SHU UEMURA
