Roger Vivier returns for spring-summer 2024 with a fresh take on its emblematic styles. From shoes and bags to jewellery, these modern interpretations of the Vivier icons bring a breath of fresh air to heritage styles. Take, for example, the new Viv’ Canard slingback pumps, a pair that looks set to be a new staple.
Inspired by an archival design from the 1950s, its name, of course, references the shoe’s characterising detail. Its square tapered toe resembles the bill of a duck, which translates to ‘canard’ in French. While incorporating such iconic elements, the new style is more sinuous and elongated than the models of the past.
The geometric and gently angular design with the distinguishing tapered toe silhouette contrasts beautifully with the square lines on the back. The new Viv’ Canard slingbacks are also presented in a kitten heel version for the season. The Roger Vivier logo embellishes the lacquered heel, while the insole comes complete with an emblematic heart.
The Viv’ Canard comes in a fine assortment of colours and materials for every facet of femininity. Prices start from SGD1570 for shiny patent leather in Pink, Violet, White and Yellow, and a silver fabric style with all-over sequins, all wearing a rounded mini buckle.
Or go all out with a satin version in colours like Black, Light Blue, Red and Violet. Complete with the iconic square rhinestone-studded buckle, this comes in at SGD3070. Which will it be for you?
