The wait is finally over as Dior officially launches its spring-summer 2026 collection worldwide. This eagerly anticipated first drop places handbags front and centre. There’s the new Dior Bow and refreshed Lady Dior (say hello to detachable leather bows), for example. Most notably, the Dior Book Tote returns, now reworked through Jonathan Anderson’s distinctive lens.

Long celebrated for its structured, maximalist canvas that elevated a utilitarian silhouette into an embroidered icon, the Dior Book Tote now undergoes a striking pivot. Moving beyond the familiar ‘book cover’ approach, the bag becomes a showcase of high-craft embroidery. Each masterpiece of tactile storytelling places a new emphasis on the Dior Médaillon signature.

While previous iterations relied heavily on repeating the #DiorOblique motif, Anderson’s vision treats the surface as a multi-dimensional tapestry. Fans of Toile de Jouy will welcome its return, now rendered in multicolour embroidery. The motif subtly integrates Christian Dior’s personal superstitions, including clovers and ladybugs, while introducing the white Dior Médaillon as a recurring design element.

Several other designs also step into the spotlight this season. The #DiorOblique embroidery with white lace softens the tote’s inherent rigidity, lending it an ethereal, almost bridal-like quality. Available in colours such as Blue and Rose Soupir, and in a range of sizes, the Dior Book Tote is further enhanced with a strap that introduces new ways to style the bag.

Rounding out the collection are the new Buttercup motif and Revolution Flowers embroidery, leaning confidently into botanical clovers, delicate lace and the Dior Médaillon. Together, these elements ensure the Dior Book Tote remains one of Dior’s most desirable status symbols heading into 2026.
