The latest collaboration between Jacquemus and Nike is more than just another limited-edition sneaker drop. By pulling deep from the Nike archives, Jacquemus revives the hand-built 1972 prototype by Bill Bowerman, the legendary Moon Shoe that never saw a commercial release. For sneakerheads, it’s nostalgia wrapped in fashion-forward design.
This isn’t their first dance. The partnership previously birthed reimagined icons like the Air Max 1, Air Humara and J Force 1. With this latest colllaboration, Jacquemus continues the conversation, bringing his signature contrast of surreal minimalism to an American athletic classic. The Parisian designer’s refined take on the utilitarian prototype sees discipline meet elegance.

Blending the original’s racing origins with a modern ballet aesthetic, the silhouette remains low-slung and streamlined. A ruched nylon upper softens the look, while paying homage to the thin, minimalist footwear of dance. It’s this tension, speed against grace, utility against poetry, that truly defines the Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe.
Of course, the leather Swoosh and branding are present, but the real star is the outsole. The waffle sole, reworked with sustainable Nike Grind rubber, becomes the defining feature. Famous for the crater-like imprints it leaves, the very inspiration behind its name, the pattern is the conceptual focus.
Retailing at USD205, the Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe arrives in Black, Dark Red and Pale Yellow. Sizes range from EU35.5 to EU48.5, making it a true unisex drop. Each pair also comes with vintage-style packaging and a ‘Blue Ribbon Sports’ badge that bears both Jacquemus and Nike logos.
