For many years, Cartier’s Art of Living collection regularly showcase accessories bearing the Double C logo and the Panthère. However, the latest additions are exceptionally different. Beyond simply embellishing a bag with a jewellery clasp, each marries meticulous jewellery craftsmanship with the structural artistry of bag-making.
The choice to draw inspiration from the vanity cases of the Roaring Twenties is particularly telling. It was an era when accessories transcended their functional purpose to become extensions of one’s personal style. Now, the maison is reigniting this ethos with this capsule collection of jewellery bags.
Be it an elegant cylindrical form, a gorgeous sphere, or perhaps a square cushion, Cartier challenges the traditional forms of a clutch by mirroring the geometry of its jewellery collections. Cabochon-cut gemstones, a signature technique, further transform the opening mechanisms from simple latches into precious sculptures.

The variety of materials also speak volumes about the maison’s creative intent. Tactile crochet knit forms the Crochet Clutch (shown above), evoking the Cactus de Cartier, while floral motifs adorn velvet-effect satin on the squared Cushion Clutch. An orb defines the Godron Clutch, a sphere set with a short sling handle, Finally, for the pièce de résistance, brilliant green onyx, hessonite garnet and violet amethyst punctuate the Cabochon Clutch (top pic).
Available in limited quantities, Cartier Singapore will be carrying two styles, out of the four, for now. Price points range from SGD13,300 for the Crochet Clutch to SGD23,100 for the Cabochon Clutch.
