Polène Paris has long delivered bags that are both sculptural and practical, and its latest addition continues that story. Enter the new Cyme Tote, a reinterpretation of the Parisian leather goods brand’s emblematic Cyme. Now reimagined in a vertical silhouette, it comes in two sizes while keeping everything fans adore intact.
First introduced in a horizontal format in mini and regular sizes, the original quickly became a favourite. Much of that appeal was due to its distinctive shape and functionality. Formed by waves, folds and soft curves, the design takes its name from the French word ‘cime’. It means a peak or mountain crest, and refers to the ridge that runs elegantly atop the bag.
The new Cyme Tote keeps this signature structure but translates it into a taller, city-ready profile. Measuring 47 cm by 37 cm by 11 cm, the bag is designed with everyday routines in mind. Think commuting, meetings and everything in between. It also offers enough space for daily essentials, including a laptop.
Like its predecessor, the tote also transforms depending on how you style it. With the sides left open and straps on the outside, it takes on a basket shape. Tuck the sides in and cross the straps internally, and it morphs into a softer floral silhouette. Versatility extends to the carrying options. Two handles offer drop lengths of 13 cm and 29.6 cm, so you can hold it in hand, at the crook of the arm or over the shoulder.

For those who prefer something smaller, the Cyme Tote also comes in a nano size that mirrors the original design. Don’t let the 25.5 cm by 20 cm frame fool you though. It fits more than expected, complete with top handles for hand carry and a longer strap for crossbody wear.
Crafted from textured calf leather, the new vertical style comes in timeless hues like Black, Black Cherry, Camel, Ebony and Taupe. There is also a version in Black with Ecru stitching.
