Welcome to #BEBEinsider, a series where friends share what beauty products they’re really loving. For July 2025, Alison Carroll shares five of her favourite beauty products. A professional ballerina, Allison is a co-founder of BalletBody, a studio that offers ballet-inspired fitness classes.
01 - Aesop Volumising Shampoo, SGD71 for 500 ML
“This has been a go-to in my hair care routine for years. I have naturally wavy hair that tends to misbehave in Singapore’s humidity, and this shampoo gives it the lift it needs without weighing it down. It leaves my hair feeling light, fresh, and full of body. It also enhances my natural curls in the best way, which I’ve really learned to love and embrace over time.
And like everything from Aesop, the scent is such a treat – subtle, earthy and calming. It’s one of those products that makes your routine feel a little more thoughtful.” AESOP
02 - Chanel Éclat Premier Concealer Stick, SGD68
“I’m super picky with concealer. I’d rather let my dark circles show than deal with creasing, but this one wears like a dream. Incredibly lightweight, yet still offering full coverage, it’s smooth, fresh and looks just like skin.
Plus, it’s not just makeup. It actually has skincare benefits too, with SPF 40/PA++++ and ingredients that help hydrate and protect the under-eye area. It’s designed as a hybrid product, so it doesn’t just cover, it treats. The finish is natural and radiant, which makes it perfect for days when I want that no-makeup look.
I like to warm it up slightly with my fingertips and tap it in gently, which helps it blend seamlessly. A little goes a long way, and it layers beautifully if I want extra brightness. It also works really well as a touch-up stick throughout the day without ever looking heavy or dry.” CHANEL
03 - Chanel 1957 Les Exclusifs de Chanel Eau de Parfum, SGD385 for 75 ML
“This is my go-to when I want to feel calm, collected and quietly confident. It’s soft, elegant and never overpowering. I love how it lingers gently on my skin, like being wrapped in a cashmere hug. It’s one of those scents that instantly makes me feel like myself.
What I love most is how it really adapts to the skin. It starts with this soft, powdery freshness, but it settles in differently on everyone. It holds so beautifully and stays with me throughout the day.
I always spritz it on my clothes. I’ll also dab it on my wrists and neck if I want something a bit more intimate. And if I’m wearing it for a long day, I’ll layer it over a light, unscented lotion to help it last even longer without changing the scent.” CHANEL
04 - Future Cosmetics Beauty Drops No. 3, SGD67 for 8 ML
“I honestly tell everyone about this product – it’s that good. It’s been my go-to since I first tried it during the early days of the pandemic, when my skin was completely out of balance – dull, breaking out and just stressed. This calms, balances, and gives me that fresh, healthy glow every time. No matter what my skin is going through, this always brings it back to life.
The formula is packed with calming botanicals and skin-repairing minerals, but it still feels light and effortless. It layers beautifully with just about anything. I love applying a few drops directly after cleansing either alone or mixed with my moisturiser. It also makes a beautiful base under makeup, adding that natural, lit-from-within glow without ever feeling heavy.” FUTURE COSMETICS
05 - Romi Dream Skin Tint, SGD49 for 30 ML
“I came across this while looking for something easy, everyday and skin-focused, and it just clicked. The texture, the finish, the colour and even the scent checked all the right boxes, and now it’s one of those products I reach for without even thinking. Plus, it also happens to be a local brand, which is always a bonus.
It’s lightweight, blends like a dream and gives just the right amount of coverage while still letting skin look like skin. It also has SPF, which makes it an easy yes for me. I wear the shade Medium and the colour match is spot on. I usually apply it with my fingers, blending it in just like a moisturiser. It’s super buildable, so I can keep it sheer or add more coverage where I need it. It layers beautifully with cream products and keeps that fresh, dewy finish all day.” ROMI
