In a departure from the stark and avant-garde aesthetic that typifies its campaigns, Balenciaga’s 2024 gift campaign takes another route. Taking inspiration from vintage magazine advertorials, a series of still-life images, complete with descriptive text, highlight signature accessories and coveted objects as ideal holiday presents.
Firstly, the Small Hourglass Bag (SGD3850) stuns on a reflective surface with the tagline ‘An hourglass is timeless…’. Indeed, the trapezoidal bag remains a classic mainstay of the house, characterised by a simple B logo and curved base. At 23 cm wide and 14 cm high, the everyday companion is anything but small.

This year, Balenciaga also reintroduced the Le City as a certified classic to cater to modern tastes. A reimagining of a 2001 staple, the Le City Mini (SGD2750) that fronts the 2024 gift campaign comes in the same Arena Storico lambskin leather and brass hardware.
Then for those who believe that ‘the more the merrier’, the Rodeo Bag promises to impress. It comes with extra charms like the Paloma Keyring (SGD875) to add character to the slouchy top-handle bag. Prices start at SGD4350 for the Rodeo Mini, while the Rodeo Large tops out at SGD8050.
In the accessories department, the contemporary 3XL Sneaker (SGD1690) in pristine white mesh is dubbed ‘Yet Another Running Shoe’. It comes in sizes ranging from FR34 to FR47 for him and her. Ever a statement-maker, Balenciaga also debuts the breathtaking Diamant Chain Necklace in 18-carat white gold and diamonds, in collaboration with jewellery brand Jacob & Co.
Last but not least, a whimsical snow globe featuring a miniature Eiffel Tower brings a touch of festive magic to Balenciaga’s 2024 gift collection.
