The name Loro Piana is synonymous with the finest fibres, like rare vicuña wool and exquisitely soft baby cashmere. Its latest Ghiera bag recalls its century-old heritage, its name a reference to the distinctive ring-shape pendant it dons. The iconic design element is a throwback to the rings that are part of the spinning machine it processed fibres with.

Through the years, the ring is ubiquitous to women’s apparel and textile accessories at the Italian design house. Ticking all the right boxes, this new crossbody bag will also appeal to those who love the brand’s intense simplicity, versatility and contemporary offerings.

The only break from the harmonious lines making up the Ghiera’s curved, minimalist shape is the ergonomic ring-shape clasp. Sitting squarely in the middle, it’s discreetly engraved with the Loro Piana logo. The accompanying adjustable strap adds versatility, allowing you to easily toggle between shoulder and crossbody wear depending on the occasion.

Handcrafted in Italy, the new bag is available in two sizes, different colourways and materials. You’ll find the mini in either Lotus Root linen calf or Black silk satin with glossy calfskin trim. Whereas the small appears in Sunday Morning linen calf and fine saddle leather in Dark Lichen Green or Koi Fish.

Lush to the touch, the Ghiera bags recall the brand’s finest cashmere for an inimitable sensory experience. Feel it for yourself in person when they launch from 18 January 2024 in selected Loro Piana boutiques.
