Open the doors to the Mediterranean landscape and rekindle your connection to nature with Diptyque’s new Summer Essentials collection that offers up a much-needed breath of fresh air as we spend more time inside. The limited-edition range, dressed in colourful illustrations by artist Luke Edward Hall, returns to basics with a line-up of daily objects and perfumes to stimulate the senses.

First up, there’s the green-fruity Ilio (Greek for ‘sun’), which captures summer in a bottle with its notes of prickly pear, bergamot, jasmine and iris. It channels the warm summer air and you can look forward to brightening your days with either the EDT (SGD194 for 100 ml) or the hair mist (SGD79 for 30 ml) for even more freshness.

Next up, a couple of creations featuring the characteristic summer scent of lemongrass that’s tangy and cool, and known for its mosquito-repellent properties. There’s the citronnelle-infused candle (SGD95 for 190 g and SGD645 for 1.5 kg), which makes for a chic mosquito repellent, and also a specially concocted summer body spray with essentials oils (SGD81 for 100 ml) infused with lemongrass, geranium and lemon eucalyptus to keep mosquitoes at bay while leaving skin scented with soft floral notes and a touch of musk.

Lastly, the brand has also reinvented one of its first products, the Vinaigre de Toilette that’s now available in a Mediterranean edition (SGD95 for 200 ml) as a cocktail of lavender, rosemary and thyme, highlighted with a lavender sprig in each bottle. Spritz this on clothes, use it to refresh skin and hair, or simply to scent your space anytime you need to unwind.

Mark your iCals. The collection will be launching islandwide on 4 June 2021, with the Vinaigre de Toilette Mediterranean Edition and Citronnelle 1.5kg Candle exclusively available at the Diptyque boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, with the rest available online via Escentials or TANGS.
