Did you know that Moynat offers a hand-painted personalisation service for bags that come in its signature Toile 1920 monogram? Yes, that includes the two new babies of the family, the Little Suitcase TU and Wheel BB which are both currently available at Moynat boutiques in Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre. And before you get all excited, here are some general pointers to know before you head on down to enquire further.
01 – The personalisation service is currently offered in traditional typography (serif font), and you can choose from 1 to 3 letters accompanied by a shadow-like 3D effect. Bags like the Little Suitcase will be given a choice of having dots added between the letters, along with the addition of a ribbon stripe detailing (2 or 3 colours) that can be added above and below the letters.
02 – As for the Wheel BB, it wouldn’t be possible to add any dots or ribbons due to the specific design (there’s the brown leather harness in the middle) of the bag. However, you can style the letters in different formats, such as having 3 individual letters in each canvas segment, or have a maximum of 2 initials joined side by side if you like that whole more-is-more look.
03 – A total of 20 different colours will be up for your choosing, or you can go ahead and leave a preference (for example, brighter hues only or darker shades like black and navy) for the artisans to propose a colour scheme especially for you.
04 – The best news? The personalisation service will be complimentary as well, for up to 3 traditional letters and the additional stripes. Now how that’s for making the bag one that’s uniquely yours, and you can be sure that no two bags (or SLGs) will ever look the same.
05 – Each piece is carefully painted by hand in Europe, which explains why the entire process will take between 4 and 6 weeks. You can expect slightly longer due to the current situation in terms of scheduling, shipping and the like, so bear with the team the moment you place your orders for this exquisitely unique service.
