Saint Laurent Elise Shoulder Bag

Saint Laurent has always delved into new and exciting bag styles, like the new Elise Shoulder Bag that emphasises the bag’s curved top and roomy silhouette rather than the YSL interlocking initials that have graced the front flaps of bags like the Cassandra and the Sunset.

Besides sporting a distinct boxy shape, the Elise Shoulder Bag is offered in two different materials. The first would be shiny lambskin, a smooth and soft leather that’s given a slight coating to create that beautiful sheen under the light. The second would be crocodile-embossed calfskin leather, made to mimic the scales of the crocodile without having the hefty price tag of exotic skins. Looks aside, it is great bag for both day and night, measuring 21 cm wide and 16 cm high, with a removable chain strap that converts it easily from shoulder to clutch in no time at all.

The structured base will allow it to sit upright as well, and the overall silhouette is one that will maintain its ‘figure’ over time, so you don’t have to worry about it sagging or slouching. The main compartment opens via a magnetic snap closure (hidden beneath the front flap), and you will also find a collapsible flat pocket within to keep your essentials neatly sorted and organised.

Vinyle Shiny Red seems to be the hottest colour of the season, and you will find it over on the croc-embossed (SGD3650) version (along with Black), while the shiny lambskin is only available in Black, priced slightly lower at SGD3450. Something new and different for Winter 2020, the Elise Shoulder Bag is available now via the boutiques or online if you’re a fan of a virtually logo-free (save for that tiny YSL logo camouflaged on the metallic chain) Saint Laurent handbag.
