From the Alexandre III to the Regina, Goyard is showing no signs of slowing down, adding new bag styles like the Vendôme Bag which has officially arrived at the brand’s standalone Singapore boutique located at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.

If you find it rather familiar-looking, you’re not entirely wrong. The dome-shaped carryall has been brought back to life (after taking a short break), coming in two new size formats (Mini and PM) that are right in line with the house’s gradual shift into smaller handbags made perfect for the everyday.

The bag comes in a trapezoid shape for a streamlined look-and-feel, one that’s also armed with two zipper pulls that extend down the sides, making it easy for you to reach for your contents within. Having a zippered closure also means that your contents are all always safe within, and you will find an extra patch pocket in the interior that’s great for keeping cards and several other personal belongings.

One of the key elements about the Vendôme Bag would have to be riveted beechwood detailing, paying homage to the brand’s extensive archive of heritage trunks and hard-sided luggage. As for the refined top handles, they come in smooth Clamecy calfskin leather, with rings loops that will allow you to fold them down when not in use.

They can also be used to hold the all-new selection of straps, where you can choose between canvas (SGD530) and leather (SGD640) options to carry your Vendôme Bag over the shoulder. Removable shoulder straps are always a great idea, and you can now purchase them separately to attach onto some of your favourite Goyard bags like the Alpin Mini, for example, especially with the thicker canvas versions that score high points in terms of comfort.

In Singapore, the Vendôme Bag, along with matching shoulder straps, will come in colours like Green, Grey, Navy Blue, Orange, Red, Sky Blue and White, along with the standard colours such as Black and the original Black/Tan. If you need a quick reference for the prices, the Mini Vendôme Bag is priced at SGD4010 for standard colours and SGD5210 for the special hues, while the Vendôme Bag PM is priced at SGD4410 and SGD5730 respectively.
