Coach City Blocks Collection

Coach’s Spring-Summer 2020 collection was all about reviving archival pieces like the Willis Top Handle 18, along with the introduction of vintage-inspired styles under the #TheCoachOriginals range. Fall-Winter 2020, on the other hand, was Stuart Vevers’ way of showcasing his dynamic take on a fresh new direction for the brand. The Creative Director was inspired by the buttery soft leathers and graphical silhouettes that defined Coach’s heritage, leading him to create new and exciting geometric-shaped bags which were spotted all over the runway presentation.

Coined the City Blocks, they come in varied shapes ranging from the perfectly round circle to solid rectangular boxes, along with full-leather designs shaped like a pyramid. For those who appreciate something out of the box (literally), you can grab selected designs which have now arrived in boutiques, with a wider range available at the bigger stores located at Marina Bay Sands and Wisma Atria.

There are plenty of choices for everyone, with different sizes depending on how much you plan on carrying for the day. All bags come finished with Coach’s signature turnlock closure and predominantly come in plain leather, which just adds to its whole vintage yet modern vibe.

The entire City Blocks collection was styled like hand-held clutches on the runway, but you will find an extra ring tab so you can hook the accompanying strap and sling it across the body for an alternate look. And if you need help to narrow down your options to 3 ‘must-have’ designs, then you can consider the City Blocks Triangle Bag (SGD950) for an avant-garde twist, the City Blocks Rectangle Bag 18 (SGD1100) if you’re all for a classic-looking design, or the City Blocks Circle Bag (SGD1250) for those looking for that hat box look that is still all the rage. Fun, fresh and totally unexpected. Which is always a good thing.
