Polaroid Hi-Print Pocket Photo Printer

The Polaroid of today isn’t exactly the same as it was back in the 70s, having undergone several renaming and restructuring exercises over the years (it was taken over by the Impossible Project and called Polaroid Originals in 2017), before it was officially rebranded to simply Polaroid earlier in March this year. Aside from carrying a neat selection of instant cameras like the Polaroid Now and Polaroid OneStep+ (used together with the original instant film made in the Netherlands), the brand has recently delved into a new range of digital products, such as the Hi-Print Pocket Photo Printer that’s touted as the next generation of portable photo printing.

Measuring just 17.5 cm by 10 cm, the handy printer can be connected via Bluetooth to your mobile device (laptop, phone, tablet, etc.), all ready to print your digital images onto a 2 x 3 inch (54 mm by 86 mm) self-adhesive photo paper. The Polaroid Hi-Print uses dye-sublimation technology to create a high-quality print that will not fade over time, with the plus point being the fact that you can now create your prints whenever and wherever. Before you print that picture-perfect Instagram moment, you can download the accompanying mobile app to add extra filters, stickers and text to customise to your heart’s content.

Keen to get one? Here’s how. You can purchase it as a bundle over at Polaroid’s online store for EUR129.99, which gets you the photo printer along with 2 sets (20 sheets each) of paper cartridges. Shipping to Singapore via DHL costs an additional EUR27 (but you will get it in 1 business day), so if you do a quick checkout now, it will come just in time for the upcoming weekend. And if you’re looking for something fun to do with your family and friends, this could just be it.
