Everyone is patiently waiting for news about Louis Vuitton’s hot-favourite Multi Pochette Accessoires (MPA), with word buzzing on social media that the ones in Monogram Canvas will come in brand new strap colours in the coming seasons, while others have sworn that the French luxury brand isn’t doing anymore as far as this selection is concerned. A good alternative for those only into full leather bags, the New Wave series is known for its soft leather that’s smooth to the touch and finished with quilted patterns for added texture. The quilting gives the bag a ‘puffy’ exterior, one that gives it more volume, and finished with the accompanying jacquard strap stitched with the wavy Louis Vuitton signature all over.

While the New Wave MPA comes with a single pouch (instead of 2 separate pieces on the original MPA), this one’s definitively different, with the front flap the only way you’re getting in with your essentials safely secured within. The set also includes a circular leather pouch for coins and the like, with an extra chain strap, just because. You will notice that the chain strap also comes furnished with lobster clasps on either end, so you can take it out and use it as a strap for your other bags, a feature that’s unavailable on the original MPA.

Set to launch in 3 colours (Black, Khaki and White), they are sold together with a tone-on-tone jacquard strap, except for White which comes with a pink strap. Tentatively priced at SGD3050, the New Wave MPA will appeal to those who want a bag that’s definitely different from the first one, with an appeal that’s a tad more grown-up than the former.
