Audemars Piguet is on a roll for 2020, unveiling all-new novelties like the selfwinding chronograph [Re]master01, as well as a selection of designs like the Royal Oak Selfwinding 41 mm in silver dial, and the Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’ Extra-Thin With Diamond Indexes, both of which have been covered right here.

Today the spotlight shines on another Royal Oak. This time, it’s the all-new 34 mm Royal Oak Selfwinding that was created for the ladies (or men) with smaller wrists. Previously, the smallest models under the Royal Oak family were only available in the 33 mm size, but they all featured the quartz movement. As such, 2020 marks the first time Audemars Piguet has introduced its smallest mechanical Royal Oak, coming in a 34 mm size that makes it one of the most powerful versions created to date.

Interestingly, Audemars Piguet has made it available in 4 different styles, (or variations, if you prefer), starting from the classic steel with silver dial and the two-tone 18-carat pink gold/steel.

And then there are the ones with the diamond bezels (a total of 40 brilliant-cut diamonds). The first one comes in steel with the hot-favourite Blue/Grey dial (this could be your next-best chance getting your hands on one), as well as the full 18-carat pink gold case paired with a silver-tone dial.

All 4 styles are powered by AP’s self-winding Calibre 5800, a 4Hz automatic movement equipped with a power reserve of 50 hours. The case thickness stands at an impressive 8.8 mm, with a streamlined dial that includes the date display at the 3 o’clock position.

Take note that these new models will not be replacing the 33 mm Royal Oak Quartz timepieces, but instead will stand as a new sub-collection under the Royal Oak Selfwinding family. This gives you a total of 4 sizes to choose from, starting from the all-new 34 mm before going up to the bigger 37 mm, 39 mm and 41 mm models. Should you be keen on the prices for the 34 mm Royal Oak Selfwinding in SGD, they start from SGD25,600 for the steel one and SGD30,100 for the two-tone 18-carat pink gold/steel model. The steel with the diamond-set bezel in Blue/Grey dial will retail at SGD32,400, while the 18-carat pink gold case with the diamond-set bezel is priced significantly higher (it comes in full 18-carat gold for the case and bracelet, after all) at SGD62,400.

And if you’re keen, please feel free to reach out to Audemars Piguet in Singapore at either 6836-4918 (Liat Towers) or 6688-7595 (Marina Bay Sands), because while the boutiques are still closed and unable to offer direct-to-door deliveries, they will be happy to assist you with deposits/reservations to secure your timepiece when the boutiques do open come June 2020.
