This oversized edition is constructed from the brand’s signature high-end anodised aluminium, coming in the same height as the Original Trunk Plus but with a significantly deeper body that offers 25% (25 litres) more space with just 6% (less than 1 kg) additional weight.

The Original Trunk XL is built for open-ended voyages of 4 weeks or more (in contrast, the Original Trunk Plus has an optimal capacity of up to 2 weeks), and you can picture it as a perfectly symmetrical suitcase constructed from two identical aluminium shells reinforced with Rimowa rivets right in the middle. Other key elements include TSA-approved locks, an adjustable flex divider, the top-notch Multiwheel System, and of course, the seamless telescopic handle that offers ultimate manoeuvrability.

If you’re one of the believers in buying a new luggage just before your vacation, do note that this post isn’t your excuse to encourage you to buy it right now and book the next flight out, because there’s a time and place for everything and now isn’t that time. Or, get one and use it as a home accent piece, one that would just fit right in within homes that are minimalist or those with industrial vibes.
