If you’re on the hunt for a classic-looking bag silhouette from Chanel, the seasonal pre-collections (typically released in January and July) generally have a greater selection for you to choose from. Case in point? You will be able to find exciting new options of the 2.55, the Boy Chanel and the Gabrielle, which are introduced in various colours and materials for the current Spring-Summer 2020 Pre-Collection. In addition, the French luxury brand has also brought back a popular favourite, the Mini Flap Bag which is now available in colours like Black and Pink, paired with GHW and SHW respectively.

Chanel has classified it as a Flap Bag only because it opens to a single compartment (the Classic comes with an additional inner flap), but in all honesty, it looks like a miniature rendition of the cult-favourite handbag, which only adds to its appeal and allure. It’s furnished with iconic elements like the CC clasp and diamond-quilted lambskin leather, which along with the metallic leather-interlaced chain, that have all grown to become synonymous with the house.

Here comes the tricky bit. There are actually 2 sizes when it comes to this model, one’s more squarish, the other, a tad longer and shaped like a rectangle. Measuring 17 cm by 13.5 cm (SGD4310) and 20 cm by 12 cm  (SGD4900), they both open to a roomy interior with an extra pocket and zipped compartment for you to organise your bits and bobs. Flip it to the back and you will find an open slot tucked at the exterior that’s great for all your quick access needs. When you have a bag that’s chic, functional and well-priced, you can be sure that it will fly off the shelves in no time at all. Plus it’s so cute too, don’t you think?
