If you ever needed another reason to visit Orchard Road this weekend after Gentle Monster (yes, yes, it’s finally opened at ION Orchard), then how about adding Prada’s #PradaRobot pop-up at TANGS to that list? A stone’s throw away (you could literally stand at the road on the side of ION and throw a stone across to the other side where Tang Plaza is), the Italian luxury label will be showcasing most everything from their newly updated Tricks collection, which will include zip pouches to iPhone cases and even wallets and card cases decorated with Prada’s now iconic robots.

Besides everything robot-themed that you’ll find over at Level 1 of TANGS (it will run from 29 September to 12 October 2017), there’s also something else worth checking out. Think patches and the first thing that comes to mind will be iron-ons or pin badges. Then there are these from Prada, which are basically adorable leather patches that come with a velcro backing.

In other words, you pick out the patches you like that are priced between SGD140 and SGD210 depending on the design’s complexity, then you pick out a Prada bag that you’ll like to velcro them on, which come in 8 different styles. From backpacks and sling bags to bum bags and even a large travel duffel, they start from SGD490 for a zip clutch all the way to SGD2820 for the duffel.

And if you love the Prada patches but don’t need another bag (oh, the horror!), here’s a quick hack. Just grab a favourite tee of yours, sew on a small velcro strip on the front and stick on as little or as many patches as you like. In other words, make yourself a Prada tee for just SGD140. Not bad, right?
