Dive into the mysterious depths of the ocean and you’ll find more than just blue. A spectrum of colour awaits, from the glimmer of sunlight reflecting off the water and the iridescence of seashells to the vibrant hues of corals. These, along with the ocean’s many other secrets, inspired Chanel Beauty’s limited-edition Spring/Summer 2024 makeup collection.
Created by makeup artist Valentina Li of the Comètes Collective, the collection begins with the Lumière De L’Océan (SGD107). An illuminating compact powder elevated by subtle pearlescence for an underwater light effect accentuates various looks. The transparent shade infused with blue shimmer comes complete with a double C embossing reminiscent of gentle ripples dancing on the water’s surface.

Plunge further into the line-up and find two Les 4 Ombres (SGD116 each) eyeshadow palettes. Both are similarly embellished with curved ridges to evoke the movement of the waves. Firstly, with hues of turquoise, champagne, brown and gold in a mix of finishes, 78 Rivage represents the meeting of land and sea. It pairs perfectly with the Stylo Yeux Waterproof (SGD43) eyeliner in an intense matte electric blue 82 Abysse.
Similarly captivating is the second palette in 88 Coral Treasure that contrasts the shades of blue featured in the collection. It takes on the colours of coral with apricot orange, luminous fuchsia, lilac pink and coral.
Continue playing up the coral shades with the gorgeous Roses Coquillage Blush Duo (SGD111) to further accentuate the cheeks. Decorated with the line’s ripple design, the two-tone blush in matte light coral and warm pink offers multiple effects. Wear them either separately or together to adjust the intensity of any look.
Can’t get enough of the collection and its out-of-the-ordinary take on the marine world? You’ll also find the Baume Essentiel (SGD73), Rouge Allure Laque (SGD67), Rouge Coco Baume (SGD59) and Le Vernis (SGD46) in new shades to get your mermaid glow on.
