Balenciaga’s Passport from its Spring-Summer 2024 showcase wasn’t an official travel document, of course. It is, however, a quirky elongated wallet SLG sandwiched between two trompe l’œil tickets.

This playful take is typical of Demna’s design approach, which often involves subverting and reimagining everyday objects. With Balenciaga logos cheekily stamped all over, the Passport Long Wallet (SGD1050) comes in either Black or Dark Red.

Function-wise, it opens to reveal a black leather interior with multiple pockets and compartments for daily use. A zip section holds coins and keys, while cash and cards go within dedicated bill pockets and segmented slots.

The Passport Phone Holder (SGD1490) is an alternative choice. With slightly different proportions, it fits mobile phones like the #iPhone14ProMax and #iPhone15ProMax within the back compartment. Complete with a removable crossbody strap that also acts as a lanyard, this leather accessory is only available in black.

While it won’t take you through immigration, Balenciaga’s Passport certainly makes for a conversation starter. A playful and irreverent take on a familiar object, it looks set to become a new favourite with Balenciaga fans.
