Unsurprisingly, Pharrell Williams’ debut collection for Louis Vuitton was a vibrant explosion of colour and creativity. Injecting a bold dose of his signature playful style, his Spring-Summer 2024 show lit up the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris. Amidst the creative whirlwind, the reimagined line of Damier Pop coated-canvas bags stole the spotlight.

Forget Damier Ebene and Damier Eclipse, because Damier Pop is officially the new kid on the block. Bursting into the scene are kaleidoscopic hues of Bleu, Jaune Mat (sun-kissed yellow), Orange, Rouge (fiery red) and Vert (lush green). These bold colours paint at least seven different bags, each serving as a canvas for Williams’ infectious energy.

Right off the bat, the Chess Messenger (SGD4100) is a new style measuring 24 cm by 24 cm. Designed to be carried with the diamond shape facing upwards, it’s a truly eye-catching piece. Natural cowhide leather trims reinforce the base and appear on the top handle and accompanying shoulder strap.

The Speedy 18 Bandoulière (SGD3950) is another one to watch. This time, it comes in miniature proportions at just 18 cm wide and 12 cm high. Think of it as the Nano Speedy’s cool brother, packing a punch as a new contemporary offering.

Then, we move on to the Steamer bags, which come in micro (SGD2850) and nano (SGD3950) renditions. The first is a compact 13 cm by 8 cm wearable wallet, while the latter is a miniature tote bag measuring 18 cm high and 15 cm wide. The emblematic pin-and-chain detailing appears on both styles, thus retaining the key element of the OG Steamer bags.

Finally, the Soft Polochon PM (SGD4450), Christopher MM (SGD5350) and Speedy 40 Bandoulière (SGD4900) round up the seven. Each classic style serves different needs with a playful twist.
