But beyond fabrics, the 99-year-old Italian maison also has a leather goods range that similarly utilises exquisite materials and the finest craftsmanship. Which brings us to the new Extra Bag.

The latest addition to its Extra line is a sophisticated evolution of the Extra Pocket that launched in 2019. Staying true to the maison’s understated aesthetic and emphasis on tactility, it showcases clean, modern lines. Unsurprisingly, the elongated, geometric design with a versatile two-way shoulder strap works for all occasions.
Rather than being ‘extra’, the elegant and very much functional piece is free of monograms and logos. The Extra Bag also showcases buttery soft, naturally full-bodied calfskin that you won’t be able to keep your hands off.
Measuring 27 cm by 16 cm by 10 cm, the ideal day-to-night bag also stands out in terms of roominess. Compact and lightweight, it will easily fit all your daily essentials, including the must-have phone-key-wallet trifecta. The zipper that goes around the front of the bag keeps all these and more secure.
For a finishing touch, it also comes with two new detachable, interchangeable charms that exude elegance. The polished golden lockets with refined rounded edges are engraved with the LP initials, one to reinforce the zipper opening while the other tucks inside the vintage-style leather keychain.
Retailing at SGD5010, Loro Piana’s new Extra Bag is slated to drop in-stores in early 2024. Its colour palette ranges from classics like Dark Chocolate Licorice and Sunday Morning to distinctive shades like the iconic Deep Kummel and New Petrolio.
